The Topic Of Sex Trafficking - 1518 Words

Introduction This review of the literature will be about the topic of sex trafficking. My research process involved searching for information on sex trafficking and also human trafficking as a whole. I investigated a great deal of different sources and used many websites of organizations dedicated to spreading awareness on sex trafficking and working toward hindering it. I also researched using non-fiction books regarding sex trafficking, including works sharing the experiences of real victims and survivors of trafficking. A common frustration that I had when researching was finding sources with accurate information pertaining the male victims of sex trafficking. Since Male victims of trafficking commonly go unseen, unheard and forgotten, this information was a bit more difficult to find. Some themes that arouse during my research process were background information, the global problem, victims, effects, and solutions. Some questions that drove my research process were: How do traffickers lure their victims in?, Who are the most common victims of sex trafficking?, Where does sex trafficking happen?, and How can sex trafficking being stopped? Background Information â€Å"The modern day slavery,† that is what many people will refer to sex trafficking as. Sex trafficking is defined as the act of forcing, coercing, or conning an individual into performing any sexual act.
